This class will teach you the basics of turning beautiful wire loops. We will then practice this technique by making a fun bead and wire bracelet and a great pair of earrings.

Steven James has appeared on both the HGTV and DIY networks and his work has been featured in many publications including BeadStyle, BeadUnique, Budget Living, Pack-o-Fun and ReadyMade, as well as several books from Lark and Kalmbach. These classes will most likely sell out so reserve your spot early.

1+3=4 Torch Techniques $55 + required kit fee
In just three hours, learn Steven James’ favorite techniques with one butane torch. Who knew a torch was such a versatile tool! Bring your own torch or test drive one of Steven’s and learn just how far you can take your creativity. First, learn how to create simple fused fine silver links to create a pair of earrings or pendants, continue the technique at home to create more complex jewelry. Next, learn how to reticulate a silver pendant, fuse glass to metal and make simple metal solder connections. Finally, learn how to hand-fire Precious Metal Clay while you enjoy his favorite torched dessert!

Perfect Pendant $55 + required kit fee
The perfect pendant is the one you create yourself. And while the soldering technique has been around for years, Steven will show you new ways to incorporate this old technique into stunning centerpieces. Learn secret tips on how to frame pottery shards, colored glass and more with solder. When you take your new tools home with you, this technique can easily be transferred to images captured under glass and help you hold onto your memories.

Torch Enameling: Never too hot to handle!
No Kiln? No problem. Learn how to use your butane torch to hand fire enamel onto metal. In class you can create a variety of fused glass designs – pendants, matching earrings, charms for a bracelet, while learning Steven’s tips and tricks he only shares in class. With enameling the design ideas are endless and the outcomes completely unique every time you fire!

Itchin to Etch $55 + required kit fee
Take your crafting and jewelry making techniques in new directions. Learn how to etch on metal, glass and even wood! Work with three techniques in one class and maximize your creative potential. Get hands on experience with two types of etching, one on brass or copper and the other on glass. Finish class etching wood using traditional techniques with a twist.
Finished components can be used for jewelry or home decor projects.

Here’s a new beaded bead that’s as cool as a summer breeze. With a minimum of supplies you can create a beautiful bead to use on its own or make multiples of them for a necklace or bracelet.
